Hi peeps,

I have a Teltonika RUT950 with two sims as my main connections.

Sim 1 = Main Connection
Sim2 = Failover Connection.

The router i have also has a WAN port, for this i got myself a B618 Router with another SIM (SIM3). I want to use this as an additional failover in case data runs out.

My Question though is how on earth do i configure this.

The RUT's wan details: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RUT950_WAN

What i am struggling with is the following.

My RUT has DHCP enabled, and i would prefer to keep it that way. however, my B816 by default also has DHCP enabled, so i figured i can give my B618 a static IP (within the range the RUT would dish out) and disable DHCP on the B618. But for some reason, when i plug my B618 into the WAN port of the RUT i cannot see the B618 over the network.

Any suggestions?

... figured....

  1. Set RUT950 IP: 192.168.1.1
  2. Set B618 IP: 192.168.2.1
  3. Enabled DHCP on the B618
  4. Plugged CAT5 into WAN port of RUT950
  5. plugged other end into WAN port of B618 (not sure if this was necessary though)

I can now failover and load balance on any of the three sims. and access both router's interfaces
