Is it possible to setup a local wirless network using myWireless cards.
Were I could setup a local network and connect to Jo my neigbour. Since the cards seem to have a far greater range than normal Wi-Fi technology.

Can myWireless be used for a Internet cafe ? Or for internet access for a comunity network ( 2 - 3 neigbours sharing an internet connection)

Er, MyWireless is NOT normal wifi, so no, you can't setup a wireless network with MyWireless modems (or cards as you called them) however, fastcomm.co.za offers a nice add-on to the modem, you plug it in to the modem, and it then has the capability to act as a normal wireless hub, which you can connect normal wireless network cards to it and the *poof* route internet.

i think.... [:p]

Hi,

I don't think it's possible for the ipwireless card to act in a peer-to-peer mode. They seem to require the VERY expensive base stations (a few thousand R's)
