I am interested in buying wow and playing the game. which one should I buy US or EU. Also i'm half hearted about getting into it and then being dissappointed. Is it worth while.

Everyone on this forum has been playing it for months on end, the game is like electronic Heroin. You will like it. Get the EU version, once you get to lvl 70 and want to do end game, the US times are way out. Unless you like getting up at 03:00 AM during the week to raid

Even though I play on the US servers I would recommend going for the EU game, for the reasons Pitbull has outlined.

What I would recommend is if you have friends or online buddies who play the game find the server they are on and use that one. Then at least there is a friendly face who can help you if you get stuck.
