I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I can only note that this image - whether real or staged - has already managed to polarise opinions, especially considering that a number of posters in this thread (myself included) haven't even seen it. I also find it extremely irresponsible of the Sunday Times to publish said image without verifying its authenticity beforehand... exceptionally poor journalism, particularly considering what the repercussions of publishing the image may be. (I'm not just taking about prosecution etc., this could very well inflame racial tensions, and the editors of the SunTimes had to know this.)

Either way, if it's real or fake, the perpetrators must be brought to book.

So you have made up your mind that this was created by an Afrikaner?

This could also be a revenge post. Somebody getting back at the guy in the pic.

Well he still posed in the pic. Given the names of his friends and likes I'd say the majority of them are of Afrikaner descent.

I'm going with shopped or posed.

Even in the depths of SA stupidity, no one is going is stupid enough to incriminate themselves as blatantly as this.

But there are some stupid enough to consider this as ' funny'.

So? Racial tensions are already inflamed. Racism aside, I do not want to grow old in a country with a pathetic health system where there is no future for my (white) children and they are discriminated against. Ruled by an ill-educated criminal where fraud, corruption and crime are rampant. Climate change looks like being a biggie and we have no civil defense plan. Terrorism, incompetence, bla, bla, fishpaste.

I am not concerned about any ‘repercussions’. Medicine usually tastes vile but it is generally good. Bring it on.

So the press should shelve stories that could cause problems? why then publish farm murders? That could incite hatred. What about publishing malema's comments, why run the story?

Infact newspapers should not publish anything, zapiro's cartoon's could also cause problems perhaps he should stop. Hmmm censorship is what you basically want?

I would love to see them prove that you saw it on facebook. 5 million loopholes...

first they would have to get your ip logs over the last year, then they would have to see every time you went to facebook, then they would have to prove you were on that page, then they would have to prove that you were the person on that page... good luck.

if its photoshopped ? how can they take you to jail ? so you are going to give someone jail time for making a "racist picture" but JuJu can say whatever he wants, blatantly racist and its fine. I'm tired of the "whities must just agree" and be too scared to say anything.

Just taking a step back from this at the moment. While that picuture is absolutely disgusting and shocking, some of the statements made in that article are downright stupid.

How can police say anyone who has seen that pic will get prosecuted? Its on the bloody top of that article!!!! So we are all in trouble? Stupid stupid statement.

They also ask for help identifying the person, then go on to say anyone who has distrubuted it will be in trouble? Duh!! So I will make a post/send email to my friends saying "Please help find the guy in this pic, oh but I cant send you the pic otherwise I will get charged. Just take a guess what he looks like ok." And what if people had previously sent it on to friends expressing horror and saying we need to find this guy? They will be charged now as well?

The guy could be from anywhere in the world. The image could have been photoshopped by someone, and not actually distributed by that person.
The guy in that image may not even know he has been added to a photoshopped picture. He could be posing over some small animal, and the child from another pic was shopped in, or the other way around.
What if it was a posed image created under artistic license for an art project such as , "Struggles growing up on the farm" etc. There could be 1000 different reasons , besides the worst possible one.
I can't even get my head around the idea that this could be real, I don't know what I would do to that guy if it was. But that mage is wrong yes, and it should be removed.

Making stupid claims to charge anyone who has seen it one facebook though wont really help the case.

Well I truly do hope the picture is Photoshopped but the image quality makes it look like it was taken by a cellphone and there doesn't seem to be any quality differences between the hunter and the child.

With regards to the Facebook profile, it wouldn't be that hard for the Hawks to obtain the IP of the originator as well as a timestamp. The rest would depend on the records of the ISP that the twisted guy uses.

Here's a link to the chap's FB profile - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001239315629

The only link I have with him are The Simpsons :D

Yes I have the Simpsons in common as well. Now thats the only link I had in common.

As a matter of interest, I went through that ex-work colleagues pictures just before deleting and found an old pic I reported over a year ago to FB, and asked him personally to remove. He has it back in his pictures. It was also heavy racist.

/sigh

You can call me (or my mother if you want) anything you like and it will be like water off a ducks back, I simply don't give a fsck. Being offended by something is a choice and choosing to do so will just get you down.

What has that got to do with the picture?

that guy is a dead man walking...wow.
The pic is probably staged (hope so ) or photoshopped. Either way...that dude is going to be busted and beaten at some point soon :)

White trash is white trash. I hope they get busted and go to jail and get what they deserve.

Calling white trash, white trash is demeaning to blacks, because if blacks are being depicted as trash they are just referred to as blacks. I have never heard the term "black trash".

If they are trash then the word "trash" should be used consistently because there are many blacks that are of just as high a standard as the stereotypical contemporary white person.
