Exactly! DVD is 480; Blu-ray version is in 1080. Also extra features (commentary etc). Yes, available online, but see comment above.

Everything is a copy, not sure what you mean by original.
You can stream it from Amazon prime if you want to support the show - much easier than trying to hunt down a physical copy.
