A man, who was wanted for a number of crimes including robberies and house break-ins, was shot dead during a shootout with police in Inanda, recently.
The suspect, who was identified as Sandile Buthelezi (24), was commonly known as ‘Msenti’ and often committed crimes in KwaMashu, Ntuzuma and Durban. On the day of the incident, police were conducting their routine crime prevention duties when they received information regarding the wanted man.
According to police reports, the officers spotted Buthelezi in Ntuzuma and approached him. The suspect allegedly fired shots towards the cops
