Can anyone out here help? Vodacom doesn’t respond to my queries! Am looking to increase my reception/speed from a tower I can see from my home (2km away). I use a Vodacom modem and currently only get 1mbps and need 10mbps. Will an outside antenna work? Any suggestions? PLEASE????

Vodacom is pretty crap outside of P.E, rest of the Eastern Cape doesn't get much attention, even in Cradock the speeds is hectic k@k.
Maybe give LCOM a call and find out whether you are in the coverage area, getting pretty decent service from them - https://lcom.co.za/coverage-map
Don't even bother asking Vodacom to upgrade their infrastructure, 99% sure it's not going to happen. If you can see the tower then I don't think an external antenna would do much good, you'll probably gain a few extra Mbps, if even that much. A WISP is the better choice.

Funnily enough I got fantastic coverage and speed from vodacom in Hogsback.
