War thunder - Deserves a punt

Really good aeroplane fighter game that plans to expand into tank and ship warfare.
Its currently in beta and free to play.

The game is really well optimized and can run on a toaster (or so the expression goes). I have a 1 meg line and pings about 200 - 250 (with openweb).
If you bored and looking for a new game to play on the side, its just gonna cost you 7 gigs worth of bandwidth, careful you don't have any other serious commitments at the time like work/gf/wife etc.

If you have never played this kind of game... its like a strategic first person shooter where strategy and positioning play a larger role. You always moving forward no strafing etc, so its a bit more chilled and not as twitchy.

herz u dont need it, mouse and keyboard work wonders, only reason i went for the joystick is for the full real battles mode

Installed it, looks great and all i need to play is my Logitech Extreme 3d pro, no other controls other than the mouse for the menu.

Runs smooth at 6ofps on high and did not seem to bad on a us server. Nice fun just to take a break from bf3.

Will do, such a great game, wish bf3 had the same flight physics. I must play it a bit more, it is really great fun even thought the dog fights can be short lived.:erm:

Played again last night. Really enjoying this F2P title. One mission was in the mountains and the graphics is brillant. Wonder when they are goint to add the naval and army sections to the game.
