Warcraft III port forwarding problem

hi

sorry if this has being posted before but i cant find anything about it. i want to host a game on battle net. people can see my game but they can't join it. i am using Vista Ultimate. i tried hosting on my moms pc and everything works fine. i tried disabling the windows fire wall and also opening the ports in it but still didn't work. anyone know how to fix this

ur ports are forwarded to ur moms PC obviously. ... www.portforward.com and look up ur router.. it will explain how to change the settings to YOUR PC's ip address.

i'm not using a router. i connect with a modem that goes in to a switch

portforwarding is done on the router. Not on the individual PC's. So whatever pc u plug into the switch in this case. Should be able to host. Perhaps try disabling the firewall on the router. But goto www.Portforward.com just to make sure youve done it right.

your ping might be a problem too bro... people who connect to your game from Europe/Asia/America will lagg too much and end up leaving - unless you host a local hamachi server or something so that you only play against SAfricans

agreed. Usually I have bout 3+ secs of delay on international servers.
I play on the local one.
If u dont know for the local server add gateway with
IP : War3.co.za
Name : war3.co.za
Zone : 2.
Run the ACiD loader and whala no delay or lag(if u join a game with a decent host)
