Warcraft latency and speeds

Hey all,

Anyone got any advice for the best ISP to use for WOW, I currently use a Telkom 4mb uncapped on a adsl line running 8mb

Latency is 214-225 but can be inconsistent and can get out of control at raid time 7-10pm. Changing accounts will sometimes help meaning it is proberly not exchange congestion. I have some capped accounts from FNB & Telkom (do5 ?) which I keep handy for this. performance on capped accounts is normal about the same at 210-225ms.

What is everyone using and what is the performance like.

I use Afrihost 1Mbps uncapped. Latency is between 210-230 mostly. I'm happy with it.

What do you mean by out of control? 220ish is Very good latency from our corner on earth to Europe...
I use Webafrica, and 99% of the time the connection is really stable around the 200ish mark. Webafrica have always had some of the best speeds for wow, as they do not shape those connections. But I guess most ISPs have caught up and offer decent connections.
 
MWEB Premium Uncapped and my latency doesn't go higher than 160-165. MWEB prioritise gaming traffic above all other traffic unlike some other ISPs. That is the only reason I am with them. The normal uncapped is terrible, don't even bother.
 
I Just rebought wow after a 3 year break and was very happy with a latency of 180ms.
Must say it is horrible to start at lvl 1 and no gold again.
But did have a most enjoyable evening last night

You'll get a free boost to 90 with the next xp
 
Good grief ... and when does this wonderful thing happen?
 
Past expansions have been released around 10 months after they were announced.

You'll be able to create a brand new lvl 90 and I assume boost a higher level char as well. Check their website for more info
 
I also started again two weeks ago. Got two of my chars from 85 to 90 and busy working on the third one.
 
220-250ms on Telkom 2mb Uncapped. Been steady like this for weeks now.

im on mweb 4mb uncapped its not that bad.. 180-200 most of the time... tbh having more issues with telkom not fixing the fking lines in the area.. other than that mweb's decent.. there is an occasional issue but overall im satisfied usually then there is a problem its a telkom line issue or seacom... then again i went from a 5gb telkom capped 384k to this 4 years ago :P so i cant complain
