So anyone else playing Warframe?

Myself and a buddy are playing at the moment and it is pretty fun. The game just came out of closed Beta and is F2P. So far I am enjoying it.
 
Also giving it a go, waiting 12 hours for my Cronus to finish crafting. Who doesn't want to play with a alien ninja? It's one of the better F2P games out there.
 
Cronus is nice, I have mine at level 11 at the moment, so some nice mods on it. I find that setting yourself melee challenges is quite fun. I sometimes say, "I must kill the next 5 guys with my sword without firing a single bullet". Although in reality, it ends up being like 15 guys because the gore from melee kills is far more satisfying.

Learning some of the combos is very fun. Like Run->jump->Crouch will perform a flying kick that will knock down enemies. Then to exit that slide, you hit melee attack, then aim down at the downed enemy and hit melee attack. Dude gets impaled.
Or run, slide (Hit crouch while sprinting) to the left/right of an enemy hiding behind a box. Once you clear the box, while still sliding, aim towards the enemy, hit melee and smile at the gore.

I would suggest playing with Online setting up, or private with a friend or 3. Playing the missions alone is still good fun. But nothing beats a group of 4 space ninjas running rampant on a spaceship, slicing and dicing everything in sight. Even if you don't know or communicate with the other 3 at all.
 
Yea ive been playing it for a week. Got Excalibur warframe to 30. In process of building the volt warframe. Love the fact that if you happy to grind you can get most stuff in game. Also recently build the Paris and Dual Ether sword. Space Ninjas are fun.
Been mostly pugging or playing solo. Would be nice to have some people to play with.

Added you up. I am only 16 ATM, but what is also nice is that going back and rerunning areas is not as boring as your classic level based game. Also the leveling of new frames I suppose. Mine is DeathbyStabbing for anyone that wants to add it.

How are you finding the Paris bow? I have been thinking of getting it. Cant decide which melee weapons to settle on. I have Cronus for now. But need to decide on a large 2hander or dual one handers. Then it is a case of which ones.

The Paris is fun, just sometimes the hit box is so far off the mark its annoying. Aim st somethings head and hits like way to the side. But its a fun challenge since you have to slightly adjust for arc of shot. Also with glitchy enemy moves it is challenging. But then I just switch to sword and lay waste. Also well pinning enemies to doors / walls is great fun.

I liked the idea of the Dual Ether swords as they have aoe attack, and well when it comes to infested that is always useful. Seen a good couple people running around with the big hammer and axe though.

Which warframe you using?

No worries, I was also only online to get my reward. I am thinking of doing the dual heat swords, as they have a high charge dmg, which is the main attack that I do. Then possibly have the mega stun hammer or Bo as my secondary weapons, and switch between them depending on the mission at hand. I like the heat daggers because you already do fire dmg with them, so only one more element is really needed, depending on the mission.
I am still rocking my first Excalibur frame. I got the game pretty much on the day that it released, but needed to wait for my mate to join in before actually playing. I am aiming to get the Ash frame as my main. Its stats and abilities suit my gameplay style, of all out sword slashing madness.

I think I read about that Paris bug, where it shoots wildly off course. They say that you should just move off the spot you are standing on. I guess they still need to iron out some odd bugs like that. But honestly, the swordplay is smooth, and if you are a space ninja, your guns are for backup. :D

I might not be on tonight as my wife and baby are heading back to SA on a holiday, and I need to drop them off. I will be playing for a lot of the weekend though. I am sure you are much further along than me in missions, but if you feel like farming earlier missions, you are welcome to jump in.
 
I just finished Downloading it, a lot of people say it's too fast paced for them.
 
Fast paced? I suppose it is fairly fast paced when in a pug, as most pugs spend their time sprinting around all over the show. The gunplay itself is no quicker than any other game. I think perhaps they get overwhelmed by the fact that you are not simply shooting or stabbing and jumping and ducking. You have slides, wallruns, jump attack combos, flying kicks, melee attack and charged up melee attack to deal with. Along with rolls to dodge etc...
Coming from a standard FPS, that extra depth can be tough to wrap your head around I suppose???? :confused:

Also each weapon is suited to playstyle and enemy composition. For instance the Grineer enemy has high armour. So anything that ignores armour, or does great armour pen is needed to be efficient against them. It is not simply, pick your fav gun and storm on in there. Although that can work, you might take an entire clip to take out the mid strength enemy with that mindset.
 
Yes in pugs it is definitely more faced paced. Mainly because people are leveling up new warframes and weapons, or getting some quick easy cash for something.

Wish they could give you two quick select slots. As with different enemies prefer to switch out weapons etc and sometimes forget. Nothing like getting into an infested mission only to realise still got the Paris.. Its works, but when you have masses of enemies moving all over its better to just use the sword.
