Warlock noob?What spec to lvl with?

I just rolled my lock what a good spec to lvl with and pvp?(On server with alot of gankers)

Firstly your spec at low level isnt really gonna help against gankers when they kill you in 2 or 3 hits, but I've found leveling (from about 30ish) to be the fastest with Affliction spec. Siphon Life, Drain life, Life Tap and Dark Pact basically equal zero downtime.

Did a couple of runs through Scarlet Monastery and my health pretty much never dropped below half and never had less than 3/4 mana going into a fight.

Only level 40 now, looking forward to giving the Felguard a run later when I'm about 55 or so, but Affliction has worked the best for me yet (and I have tried Dest and Demo)

PS. My build at the moment is 31/0/0

I was thinking of goining full aflictoin just like to see people that run away die my lock only lvl 13.
But i like fast cast time on corruptoin.

Instant Corruption is recommended on any build in all honesty, it's a cornerstone of your arsenal, combined with Curse of Agony you'll be dealing boatloads of damage with just 2 instant casts...

But yes watching someone run away thinking they've survived is just priceless

What server did you roll on and what race are you playing?

Go affliction till level 50 then change to demo for felguard. Instant corruption while nice is not essential for leveling since your felgaurd will probably be doing 60-70% of the damage at that level. O yeah and at that level your felguard can solo most classes in PvP.

I rolled undead and i play on Twiligth Hamer pvp server.

Not a bug fan of letting a pet do al the works pet more of a distractoin in pve i pvp alot.

I know locks kinda suck in bg cause i own em with my druid.
But my waroir suck v druids lol.

Affliction all the way to level 58 (at the minimum). You can then go demo. I respecced to demo at 58, and while it was easy, I just love affliction too much, so specced back.

Na i am droping the lock thing goining back to my mage feels like playing a hunter way too much.

having a pet isnt a bug...

if u think that, u shouldnt roll a frost mage (got news 4 u) u get an elemental (pet with a 45sec timer) with 41pts in ur frost tree

for the record, at 70 my pet does like 30% of the work... he holds aggro and gives me nice buffs when he crits
hunters arent a melee class, we have 2 dmg abilities to hurt ppl at melee and wingclip, without our pets, we kite -apparently its a exploit accordin 2 blizz- but hey hunters adapt

You get a cool crown control pet for 40 sec not one runing around with you all the time feeding the stupid pet keeping him happy.

Huter pets are the worst.

Lock pets are the 1s that lvl as u lvl, they dont need feeding and they follow u around,

Hunter pets...(here it comes) are alot more complex, we have abilities to teach them, a wider variety of pets to chose, we have to lvl them (keep them with us the whole time), and yes feed them every 15-20min

But the reward from doing all that evens it out, they do more dmg, the higher they are the longer they live, their abilities are handy (dash) and helpful (bite/claw/gore), which makes lvling faster or easier to kill that horde/alliance

+ having a rare pet looks awesome least it did pretbc

Rare pets are so not rare anymore everyone has a pridelord and know about petopia were they list all the RARE pets rare is becoming the not so rare.

Hunter pets rock if you can play him properly and use him to his full potential. Mages are easy targets now with all the hunter PVP boosts. No more Dead zone abuse, BM spec you dont have to worry about frost nova, I can honestly say I can leave my pet alone on a mage with BW clicked, and he will eat that mage alive...

Also when I see a mage trying to pyro or cast some monster spell at me.... FD... instant cast reset for the poor mage. He just wasted precious seconds of casting time while my pet is munching away on him, interrupting him to the point where he battles to get a spell out. The fact that they wear cloth, means even bigger damage shots on him... only when he has high resilience, do you need to play with more of a mana draining objective. Same with arcane shots...bye bye mage buffs

Remember.... mages are still "glass canons"...

Managing your pet successfully is damn hard... know when to time your beastial intimidation and you will be unstoppable. Hunter = most fun in PVP !!! The other thing I love about my pet, is when I proc my AP boosting trinket + racial blood fury, all that AP scales over to my pet. Add a full focus bar to the equation and you sit with insane burst DPS when that pet reaches you... Oh yea and orc's have a racial where their pets do 5% more damage <3 Add all of that up, and you end up with a nasty combination. Of course if you don't like playing with pets, roll MM build, and your pet is pretty much just a distraction to the opponent... more than a dps contributor to your stats.

I have only seen myself with one, and then you after i helped you get one

It still among the very few rare one that why i keep it but i saw 2 orc hunter with em the other day in bg.

They are hard to get i think thats why not every hordie wants to go to all that trouble.
