My first problem is that the manuals failed to mention that the web-interface's IP has changed. This took me a whole day to figure it out since I didn't have connection at home and couldn't get their support numbers. Nowhere on the box or manual is there a support number.
Second: The manual is of no use whatsoever and can be used as toilet paper. After struggeling for another night (phoning telkom and Imaginet) trying just to get the link up, I phoned the next day for support ... again. The person who answered could not help whatsoever and asked me to phone someone on his cell, whom was at home watching rugby. Finaly I got it to work.
Third: Now the Router is crashing when receiving alot of information, such as downloading and playing games. Works fina while browsing and i can stay connected while browsing, but as soon as I play games within 15-20 mins is disconnects, all lights remain steady and I can't connect to the interface. I have to then switch it on and off to get it working.
Fourth: I e-mailed my problem to support on friday 23rd of July, I got no response and on Monday I emailed them again and the reponse was: "Please send the Serial number". So on the same day I sent him the serial number. The next day I get the email: "Please send the HW Number." I had to finish the day at the office and searched everywhere for the HW number, but found a SW number instead and sent him that. Wednesday he sends my a little picture of the serial number and where to find the HW number. I sent it to him on Thursday because I have to wait to get home to get the information. I resent him the number on friday - no reply. Surely it doesn't take a whole day to ask these simple questions and provide proper support.
I've tried updating the firmware with the patch on their site, but it keep displaying the error message "Action Cancelled" and the router crashes.
Telkom has tested the line and charged me by doing so and say it is working 100%
I've also noticed that the D-Link support guy that posted here is no longer working for them and now D-Link's support is very unacceptable.
Now I'm going to demand a refund as I've paid R950 for a product that doesn't work and I'll buy a duxbury for R750.
