My speed just died and immediately my first thought is I am throttled... Again.
I logged in to my mweb account, and yes I am throttled.
I remember the last time I spoke to them and was told on my 1meg business uncapped, I "get" 100 gigs per month to download.
But my account now says 117 GB downloaded for the last 30 days... I used 108GB last month(just a tad over) and 14GB this month.

So in order to become "unthrottled" and to reset back to zero, I must keep my connection idle for the rest of this month?
That means that I am actually on a 50GB monthly download limit at best.

So mweb has again downscaled and lied to me. What next? A 10 gig limit? Ridiculous.
Yes I went over my "limit" by 8 gigs last month, but my average the last year is 90 GM/m. I do try to stick to my 100GB allocation.
Their "rolling limit" is just another excuse to rip off their clients.
I was told my 100GB limit resets every month. Obviously it does not. Should have recorded that conversation with mweb support... Dammit.

And to think my mates overseas get 50Mb lines plus a heap load of addons and huge downloads for what I pay here :( Sad.

Anyhoo, is there any decent isp to move to, or are they all shyte at the moment? Rather the devil I know than the devil I don't?

Is this a QQ thread or a question thread?

Regardless; /thread

Wouldn't even know where to start with this...

Actually...OP find an Apple store and request to buy a solution that does not involve ADSL. I'm sure they have all the answers and unlike Mweb will definitely not "downscale and lie" to you.

IMHO ... with the exception of OW, I imagine any other ISP would do.

All depends I s'pose on how much you are willing to spend and how much data you may pull and when you pull that data.
If you KNOW that you doing 100Gigs a month - go capped.
