Warning for QuckPic users

The QuickPic developer already released a statement which included the following:

Here are the important things to know about the future of QuickPic:

* QuickPic will always be free
* The same team is still working on the app
* We won't increase the number of sensitive app permissions requested
* Ads won't be coming soon
* New features will coming

We're on the same development path as before so you won't see things like app permissions change. We're also working on bringing features like photo editing and free cloud storage to the app in the near future.

I see there's a QuickPic update. It's a pain in the ass having to manually update all other apps to prevent QuickPic updating. Any way to set a particular app to not update?
So you want your apps (except quickpic) to auto update as it makes life easier.
Yeah, was thinking that's my only option. Not crazy about having all my other apps update automatically though.
But you also dont want your other apps to auto update???

I was referring to the 'update all' button. Can't press it if QuickPic is listed amongst the apps. I've since found an easier solution - just pirate the QuickPic .apk and the Play Store will never offer to update it.

Or, you could untick auto update from quickpic in the play store. Then when you select update all it will ask you if you want to still skip that app from updating...

Please explain how to do that, tried but can't find how to?

Thanks. Seems to have worked.

In your Play Store settings, set the apps to update automatically over wifi (or over 3G too if you have loads of data). Then go to the QuickPic listing, touch the ellipsis dots in the top right and deselect the option to update automatically.

Thanks, found it!

Switched to Piktures and F-Stop. Piktures is pretty sweet. F-Stop is excellent for searching and tagging.
