Warning: Please Change Router Password!

Just for incase some of you don't know. If you leave your ADSL router's default username and password as is, then someone can easily "hack" the router and there are software available that makes this VERY easy!

A friend of mine showed me how easy it is! At least he is not a skelm, but anybody with some knowledge can do it.

Does this work even when a router is not configured to allow remote administration?
 
Yeah, I've changed my password, and I only allow access to the admin interface through LAN connections.
 
Many telkom modems, and most other brand modems come with the WAN side access to the web-client blocked. If you block access to the WAN side and you don't have WIFI don't even bother.
 
Lol. cant believe your name vampiro. I also watched that program on national geographic (if thats where you got it from), with the vampire squid from hell. One of the most amazing nature programs i have seen. I used vampiroteuthis for a while as nick too.

LOL, thats where I got it from yes! It was amazing...And I like vampires too:eek:
