WARNING: Samsung AV-R720 Receiver/Amplifier

Well - yet another call not returned - this time by Ronel - another product specialist.

I'd love to be able to get a job in this country where all thats required is to know a lot about nothing, and get paid for it....
 
Yup - I've had an issue with a Sony DVD player that doubled as an SACD player.

They don't really have the discs in South Africa, so I ordered from Amazon. Put in it and at track 3, at a certain time the machine would lock up. It would not get past that time.

I thought it couldn't have been my machine as it was a month old! I emailed Amazon and told them their disc was broken and received a 2nd copy. I tried that received the exact same error at the exact same time. I knew it wasn't the disc.

I took the disc to the shop and we tried it on another 2 machines of the same model and it killed them too. Other machines worked fine though.

I then decided to try another store altogether and again, their Sony died at the same place. The guy was amazed!

Called, emailed, pleaded for help but to no avail. I sold the machine a month later :/
 
It shocks me that companies employ people that know nothing about their field of work - I'd be embaraased if a client called in knowing more than me about my own product.
 
Right - now spoke to William - apparently they're going to refund me - again... lets see.
 
Thats odd, this thread was at the top of google.co.za searching for AV-R720 - it now doesn't feature...
