I want to roll a Worgen warrior. I mainly want to go the dps route, since I don't enjoy tanking that much. Is a warrior capable of doing descent dps in dungeons while levelling up and which talent spec would be best for that - arms or fury? Also which professions would I benefit most from as a warrior?

My warrior rocks. Fury spec. More often than not, I am top dps. I struggle with arms. It may just be down to personal style, however cantvsay have seen any arms warriors doing pve. I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can have both specs. You will find that levelling as arms is easier though, mainly due to the lack of decent fury weapons, which are restricted to 1handers until you can get the titans grip talent which allows you to dual wield 2handers.

Professions, skinning for the crit buff and either herbalism for the extra heal, or mining for stamina. If you serious about raiding, do either jc/mining or herb/alch.

My warriors main spec is tank, and I do enchanting and mining. I have alts that herb/alch and jc/mining

Personally I get more bang while leveling from Arms.
Other people cant seem to get it going, and apparently (according to those same people) Fury is thus better.

At 85 though, Arms is not viable for PvE dungeons and raids, so Fury all the way once you get up there.

Arms is not that bad and is getting a huge buff with the next patch.
Especially on AoE fights, Arms truly shines.

My MS is Fury though and I'm 99.9% top dmg done / DPS in heroics.
Raiding environment you have nothing to fear. (Except Rogues and MM Hunters)

To be honest, while you level go arms with a massive 2hander. Its the way of the warrior.

Once at 85, keep Arms for the initial grinding part, it has way more burst dps and nowadays people aoe-fest the heroics anyways. At least I do when I tank cuz people can't seem to CC anymore.

Then for raiding, keep both Arms and Fury. Fury will be your main spec in raiding, its a bit more complex than arms, but the output on single target bosses it shines. Then there are certain encounters where you want to make use of Arms with blood and thunder specced in. For example Halfus you go Rend->thunderclap (to spread read to all the whelpies and stuff) then you do bladestorm and then your normal rotation with thunderclap worked in till the next bladestorm.

Arms you will use on Halfus and Maloriak mostly and a few others. What we also do is, we always have like 6 warriors in our raid of which 5 is dps, sometimes some sit out but we try to make 1 go arms all the time to buff melee dps as well as bleeds since we don't have a feral in our raid.

Thats about it. Arms for you all the way while you level.

Worgen hey? Get ready to jump spin, jump spin and jump spin till you get sick :p
