Problem in Cape Town today???

Hi guys

I stay in CT city bowl

Just a quick question ???
Did any1 else experience problems with their adsl in town today.

Some background information....
I woke up this morning to discover that I could not get online. Bought a new game yesterday and couldnt wait to try it online today anyway..I checked my modem (netgear dg834gt) and I saw that I wasnt getting ipaddress. Walked across the road to an internet cafe which they said they had a problem but is now ok. So I waited for the problem to "disappear" on my side. Finally phoned my friend which gave me the number for telkoms internet support and asked them "Was their any problems in cape town today". the lady put me on hold for 8 mins. Lukcily I checked my router and all of a sudden I saw I was getting an ipaddress. So I put down my phone.

WAS THIS JUST A COINCIDENCE. I DUNNO

You trying to say Telkom wants to make money from everyone to call the support desk?
 
not really

i still dunno what the problem was and did not call them to this effect but the other irritating thing was that i was a whole day without my beloved internet.
 
Also having the same problem. I find if I take my phone of the hook and put it down again, then I log in fine, until someone picks up the phone again.
