washing machine drainage problem

my washing mahcine refuses to drain when the pipe is lifted to push into the outlet. when you put the outlet pipe into abucket it fills it up in no time!!:mad::mad:

at the moment the manual bucket is irritating me cos its an auto machine. has anybody got experience with this at all?

Is your filter clogged? Otherwise, pump pressure?
 
Remove pump disassemble and clean.
not enough pressure seems to be the problem.

i have been reading and the filter for the pump should be accessible from the front of the machine. will check when i get home.

this was my first assumption. it was draining a little. so i took off the hose and found a coin in the pipe! so now it flows well but still have the pressure problem. hopefully youtube can help. is that pump accessible by taking off the back panel?

Uh oh. Might have burnt out the motor there. Check the filters, but if all else fails maybe get a pro to test the pump motor.

im really hoping i dont have to. will do the manual thing to empty then check the filters. like i say the flow is good. but only when low. will check till what height it works. then chop anothe rhole in the wall:twisted:
 
Pump / pump motor / pump assembly - probably a replacement required.

I had the same problem once. In my case I did some price comparisons then decided to go for a new machine. It was a more expensive choice, but given that a pump going meant that other things were about to fail ...
 
Your pump needs replacing. Does not cost more than R200.
Find a place nearest you that sells spares. In PE its Tecsa, get all my household spares there, saves me a bundle in repairs.
 
Normally, close to the point where the drain pipe exits from the machine is a filter you can open up. Don't only remove the pipe, but open this filter too. It's usually clogged.
 
First check for blockages by removing pump, sometimes accumulated fluff build up around the pump shaft preventing it from turning or just blocks proper flow.

i will have to look closer since i didnt see one last night.:erm: i will do more investigating tonight.

so i remove the back panel to get to the samsung pump?

Yes I've got an LG top loader and had to on 2 occasions remove the back panel and access the pump to clean it.Both times it was a rusted old pin that was preventing the pump wheel from turning freely.
 
Thank you everyone. Checked thee pump filter and found 5 coins of different sizes and a toothpick to tip it off. :mad: downloaded the manual.

The machine it's purring again :love:

and so the saga continues...so now the load sound is back:mad: seems i will need to open up the back and service that pump afterall...
