Watch out for Rain

MyBroadband’s latest drive tests show that Rain has covered many towns and cities with its LTE-A network, and is now well positioned to shake up the mobile market.

Will be interesting to see how they handle the load of new users.

Have just ordered the LTE package.

Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know it's been comin' for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll Rain a sunny day
I know shinin' down like water

You can stand under my umbrella
Ella ella ey ey ey

That guy was my Geography teacher at school. JC Engelbrecht.

Also, by click bait I mean "Watch Out" sounds like - be warned! stay away! evil thing ahead!

Exactly! It's rain!! Make sure you take your mac :p
LOL @ WC
hahahahaha.

JC is a legend in the making. The next cruy-cruy.

Anyone getting faster upload speeds on Rain than 5Mb/s?

Looking for a viable way to do cloud backups as ADSL is definitely not.

Not to dismiss the topic at hand, 500GB @ R50 if you got Telkom 3G/LTE/LTE-A coverage. 00:00 - 07:00 upto 25Mbps [upload speeds] with maybe abit more overhead. Use RAIN for your normal surfing habits ;)

NB. The Huawei B618 model sold from IS won't do 2300Mhz on TM. You will get connected on the 1800Mhz band and depending on coverage, average around 32Mbps download/10Mbps upload.

When they'll cover Illovo, maybe I'll give it a thought.

It's not like it's just in the middle of Sandton...

Same situation with Parktown North. Their coverage is ridiculous.

Does RAIN work well with Voip and do you need an external antenna?

Still waiting for them to show they're serious.
