So I'm getting tired of hearing the stock Intel fan's incessant whine, and I wouldn't mind being able to get a little more O/C performance out of my CPU. Instead of installing some ten story high air cooler that weighs 5 tons, I was looking at water cooling, which will probably be pretty quiet and offer better cooling.

Since I know next to nothing about water cooling, I was hoping someone here with experience in the field could recommend a cooler that offers decent performance/value for money, is available locally and is pretty easy to install for someone who's never messed with it before.

Thanks in advance.

The Coolermaster Bigwater is really simple and easy to install and does a decent job too.

Just the only thing I got annoyed by was the stock 120mm LED fan it came with... I read a couple of reviews before I got mine and they said the fan is noisy when you crank up the rheostat and it was loud when I turned it up, so I replaced it and it's basically perfect now.

if you want extreme OC..then you would have to import..the local ones are only a bit better than a TRUE120! the swiftech kits are the s**t

but for a first time try go the cheap route & you can always upgrade..

I'm not looking for an insane OC. I'd just like to push the CPU a little further and keep it at a low temp with a relatively silent cooler.

I read some reviews on the True120 after you mentioned it - how does it perform and how's the sound level? I suppose it depends on the fan you get?

Also, what's the difference between the Ultra-120 and the True Black Ultra-120 ?

Price and color... :p

Go for the Aquagate Max. That was my first water cooling kit and it is very good...

yip just price & colour!

the TRUE120 is 1 of the best air coolers IMO..
the aquagate max kit is good (better than thermaltake) but its a bit pricey!!

if you get a kit please keep us informed as to how it goes!

From what I have read, the True 120 only "shines" once you have lapped it. I know the Aquagate max is a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for...
