Water is contaminated

There was a 2nd ( in 2 weeks ) supposed pipe burst yesterday here in Constantia....after 4 hours the water came back on but I noticed with caution the colour is still milky today, even after running the taps for a while to flush them out...

Not sure if this is related...

If it is contamination from a borehole then he is saying that the city is right to want to regulate boreholes and require standards for connecting them to the household water supply.

If it is copper contamination is it going to harm copper pipes or the inside of the hot water cylinder?
