water marks on glass.

Hi,

So my windows on my car have lots of water marks.

Is it even worth the effort to try the 50%vinegar 50% water, spray on, leave for a while and rub off diy thing to get rid of them or should I try one of the professional things?

If so, any suggestions for brand?

Any other ways to get rid of the water stains?

As far as I know, water spots come from "hard water" ie they are mineral deposits left after the water evaporates. In theory a rigorous washing and then drying with some newspaper should deal with "most" water spots - it has always worked for me.

But, I guess depending on the type of mineral, adding some kind of acidity like vinegar or lemon juice should help in dissolving the mineral deposits too.

Try dampening one of the spots and lightly scratch it with your finger nail and see whether the minerals lift.
