Hi Guys
So my water meter has stopped recording the water flow.No idea how long it has been stuck like this.Anyone know how the billing works if at the end of the month the meter records 0 water usage?.Its not prepaid.

Did you log it? Just pay for the average amount you use, so if last month was still normal, pay that amount again.

It's not your problem.

They will just bill zero usage, until the flags go up. Then they will come and swap out your meter.

This is what happened to me in CT.

Of course if you live in JHB or somewhere else, you will probably get an estimated bill of R 165 000 or something that you will need to pay first....

when i moved into my apartment my old electricity dial meter didnt turn
it stayed like that until i volunteered for the pre paid rollout meter programme

i guess the municipality thought no one lived here. its not like there is anyone there that is going to flag it and actually get off their bums and do something about it, easier to just ignore.

/shrug

Hi yes in Joburg I am amazed that they are more lenient in CT usually its seems a lot stricter there with all the water shortages up that way.

Nope not logged yet going to see again in a few days. Hope its not based on the previous bill though it was 3 times the normal .

Pay the average as suggested and if you're building up a credit, stop paying.

^^ hahahaa
and offer to top up your neighbours pools as well for free
