I'm finding the more water I drink, the more I want to drink.

4 years ago, 8 glasses or heck even 6 glasses seemed like an insane amount. Now I probably drink 4-6 [litters] ;) a day in summer and about 3 - 4 liters in winter over and above all the coffee and whatever else I have. I also find that if I don't drink as much I get super thirsty and start seriously craving it.

Have you been for a diabetes test?

Nope.

Though I doubt it's a sign. I have not notice any correlation between days or days following high sugar in take and increased thirst. In fact if anything I've noticed the opposite.

Diabetes though is always a concern as I used to have a very high sugar in take and still have a sweet tooth and a family history of it. Maybe I'll take your implied advice and do one one day soon to be safe.

It's a simple test - usually a walk-in at your nearest Pharmacy. Better safe than sorry :)

Throughout the day, I have about 3-5 mugs of tea plus 6-8 glasses of water.

The other thing about water, is that if you dont consume enough water and fiber, you get constipated.

1. an averrage person can only drink water according to the level of their thirst
2. Boiled tap water is healthier than mineral water.

1. The first point is actually just common sense, this is also directly correlated to your actual body size ie smaller person will not drink the 8 glasses. As I normally drink about 2 litres of water a day and if it very warm even up to 3 litres, although during winter this number also goes down
2. Mineral water is on average not good for you as the water is already saturated with minerals negating its main purpose ie cleansing your body. Boiled tap water is not necessarily that good either, as it looses some of the natural minerals actually required for your body
