hi there, any advise on these? Im looking for home use. One of those in the offices that make the water cold seem nice but more important to me is the quality of the water so im after a good make of filter...

I like the one where there is the bowl thing on top and then the coal filter and then the mineral thing in the water.

We got a battery water machine at work, and it is the same system as the 5 filters that most people buy. pure H2O. all the bad and good gone.

you get one you top up with tap water.

I will use the normal fridge to cool the water. 1 extra thing that can brake.

Also take a look at Hydro health. http://www.hydrohealth.co.za If interested I can give you the number for the owner of the KZN branch(Family). May get it a bit cheaper then if you would buy it at MICA or one of the other places.

I forget which type it is, but avoid the ones that strip out the mineral content.

Pure water is bad for you.

What has peoples life come to in this day and age, now we actually worry about the type of water we drink, yet we have people living to the age of 80+ who still drink normal tap water. Makes you think the amount of money we spend on things that we shouldn't being paying for.

Our tap water is certaintly not normal these days!

There's nothing wrong with wanting to remove dangerous bacteria. But it can go too far, like what has happened with the proliferation of antibacterial soaps. And people need to make sure their water purifiers are not producing pure or nearly pure water.

Distiled water is bad for you and most osmosis filters produce distilled water.
