WATER SUPPLY UPDATE – MULTIPLE AREAS

As a direct result of heavy winds, which have affected the electricity supply to most water supply installations across the metro, there are widespread water outages.
Water teams are working closely with the Electricity Directorate to speed up recovery. A further update will be issued later this morning.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly while the system remains under pressure.

Chelsea Zone (including high-lying areas):
Baywest, Rowallan Park, Sherwood, Lorraine, Ben Kamma, Beverley Grove,
Theescombe / Lake Farm / Colleen Glen, Hunters Retreat, Kabega Park,
Morningside, Linton Grange, Framesby, Malabar, Sunridge Park,
Westering, Cotswold, Fernglen,
Barcelona, Parsonsvlei, Parsons Ridge
Motherwell:
Higher-lying areas of Motherwell may be affected by midday if supply is not restored before then.
Chatty / Despatch Tower / Rosedale / Loerie Bulk System:
Joe Slovo West, Khayamnandi (higher-lying areas),
Chatty 11 & 12 (Qunu, Marikana, Jachtvlakte),
Reservoir Hills, Rosedale, Mountain View, Moeggessukel
