Hi - anyone recommend a (preferably) free program to watermark photos in batch?

Not really a signature - but something that goes across the whole face of the photo so they need to buy it?

Thanks bwana - will give it a go!

You failed to mention the OS?

You know Picasa can do it?

Anyway check out:
Gimp Windows/Linux Simple How-to Might be a good Idea to check out Gimphoto instead of classic Gimp.
Windows: Free Image editing Paint.NET also has an Add-on called PDNWatermark

I like to point out for fast simple edits I tend to use Pinta as it works with Linux/Windows/Mac and is normally faster to start-up than Photoshop, I could not find any watermark how-to for it but I am sure if you go through the gimp tutorial you would find a way to do it with Pinta.

Thanks guys - will try all of those and see!

I've got Picassa and PSE10, so I'll see how those work first

Blocked here - but thanks!

Will check it at home!

Thanks for all the help.

I have little idea of how exactly to go about selling, what should be charged, legalaties and whatever else is involved ... but I think I've done OK. I'm sending him photos like the below that are 100kb with a full THUMBNAIL or PROOF on it - and when (if) I get money from it, I'll send him the unmarked and the higher quality version

The photo is way too big. Also, people are going to upload it to FB regardless of the watermark so take advantage of the fact and include your website address on it. You never know who is going to see it. ;)

Good point about the website - thanks for the tip, bwana!

Will make them even smaller too!
