I have a Samsung LCD tv series 5; it has usb, pc and HDMI inputs.

Is there anyway I can watch video directly from an external harddisk? I tried the usb input, but can only view pictures using the tv's 'onboard' menu (no video option available)

Or is the only option to connect a pc directly to TV via pc input and then basically use the TV as a pc monitor? What about e.g. the new ipod? Or is there some other external harddisk/multimedia drive I can get?

Sorry, should have googled it.

I see there is such a thing..the "multimedia drive" e.g. Iomega ScreenPlay Pro Multimedia Drive 750Gb.

Anyone have any suggestions which one to get, looking for between 500-750Gb capacity.

- you need to google the model number and see if its supports divx or streaming
- you need to check the inputs of your tv if it has vga inputs (most of the samsungs do)
