Hi guys,

I sent an email this morning to WBS helpdesk with few questions about their problems, and I set the email options for delivery and read notification. So I got the delivery notification immediatelly, and I just have the read notification as follow:
----------------------------------------------
Your message

To: [email protected]
Subject: problems
Sent: 2005/05/03 11:32 AM

was deleted without being read on 2005/05/03 01:29 PM.
----------------------------------------------

I will live you to do the conclusions yourself!

Well it's been obvious to me that [email protected] is a black hole for some time now. However I think that is pretty lame, but remember that other companies exhibit the same behaviour:

MultiChoice
Vodacom
Simba
Discovery Health
M-Web

and the list goes on

best is, to e-mail Shaun Green directly. I haven't yet had the need to e-mail WBS and pray that I will not need to do so soon

Kei, I have different experience with Multichoice but that is besides the point.

I think companies that delete the email sent to their helpdesk, MUST NOT exist at all. They should be closed. Full stop!

Just to throw a spanner in the works ... Sorry SF1:

If they are using outlook, and the person getting the helpdesk mail uses the preview pane, it won't be flagged as read. So they might actually read it in this manner, then delete it without responding.

So I would say it is more a case of reading and discarding than deleting (if the above theory holds for WBS)

The message should still be responded to..

Agreed fully ... my point being that I reckon they actually read it before deleting it, which makes it worse to some degree

ok, I agree that this could be the case

I am just sooooo upset right now because I have listed 4 major problems I have with iBurst and then I got that ... I wanted to kill them

I phoned them so I told them in person what the problems are, although I prefered email as it is writen document (sort of) so I have a record of what is going on.

Anyway, they said that all my problems are due to being on the Northcliff tower, so I guess best solution would be to blow up the Northcliff tower so they can rebuild it and hope then it works :-)
