So the 1st round of matches already provided some shocks, with a poor England only managing to beat lowly Andorra and their terrible, defensive, spoiling footy 2-0.

Elsewhere, Germany showed the world what you are meant to do when playing minnows- sweeping aside Liechtenstein 6-0.

France went down 3-1 to Austria (who were shocking in Euro2008)



Tonight sees England take on the Croatians away, which should be the hardest game of the group for them. Bilic has already dismissed England as terminally uselss, so it should be an interesting game

It's a good job that SA have qualified as hosts, otherwise I don't think they would have made it

England were pretty weak, but Andorra tend to play a 10-0-0 formation in an attempt to keep the score down, which they did. Didn't really look like ever scoring themselves though

Well that's the first good game rooney has had for England in donkey years. So enjoy it Henry.
And i've heard the "Walcott living up to his..." line so many times from my Arsenal friends before. But he's just never been consistent.
But even I must say that a hat trick against Croatia is something special
