WCDMA, HSCSD in SA?

I have a Nokia 7600 I bought in the UK. According to the manual it supports WCDMA and HSCSD 3G protocols. I was wondering if I could use this phone as a 3G modem in South Africa or will I just be demoted to GPRS?

We use the same 3G protocols as Europe. So it should work here

BTW, the is the MyWireless section (As in Sentech MyWireless, a wireless fixed broadband product from Sentech)
