Ok, just recharged an old sim to check out CellC in my area after about a year.
It looks like the signal has improved yet having some issues maybe someone can assist with.

When the dashboard starts it shows 92-99% WCDMA signal on the bottom left.
It connects quickly, changes immediately to HSPA+ CellC and I can browse.

A minute or so later it either switches back to WCDMA and there is no throughput, or ti still shows HSPA+CellC for a bit looses throughput then switches to WCDMA, both show over 90% signal.

Any ideas?

If I hit disconnect it also takes a long while to disconnect (officially)

It is switching to WCDMA because there is no throughput.

It could be a congested base station, but it is worth checking in MDMA to see if your cell ID changes when you have no throughput.

er, if I go into the dashboard diagnostics and click SIM/USIM it shows own number (MSISDN) 'unknown'

hmm

That just means the own number field on your SIM card is empty, doesn't mean anything.

Only sure way to tell your own number is from the network, so make a call, send a please-call-me or send *147*100#.

Thanks ginggs for the feedback.
I pm'ed CellC with the cell no (Just sms'ed my phone from the dash) and the sim card number, will wait to hear what he thinks.

Cellc in some areas in durban is totally unusible during peak times .
The middle of the city between 10 AM and 3 PM it is totally useless .
