What I find interesting about these "slow" seagate drives is their amazing transfer speeds.
An example.
Maximum Read Transfer Speed
=======================
7200.8 Seagate 400GB = 70.6mb/s (ATA)
WD Raptor 74GB = 70.3mb/s (SATA)
7200.8 Seagate 400GB = 68.1mb/s (SATA)
Hitachi T7K250 250GB = 66.1mb/s (SATA)
Check the Average Read/Write performance. The only drives able to edge out the Seagate's are the WD Raptors. hmmmm
