Hi

I've been playing with the XTreamer media player that a friend lent me, I'm debating which way to go (eGreat, Xtreamer, WDTV Live), now I've been seeing that in the very high quality MKV's (12 gigs+) that certain parts with LARGE bitrates 50000+ there has been stuttering, the WDTV Live seems to have a more powerful processor though so I have a few questions.

1) Can anyone vouch for very very high quality 1080p MKV's, not the 8 gig ones, talking about your 12gig high res high bitrate ones.

2) Does it support 24p (might be labled as 1080p/24 or soemthing along those lines)

3) Any overheating problems ?

4) If you are using HDMI and Opticle are the ports close so close together thats its a really tight fit ?

5) What store could you reccomend to get them from ?

Thanks, I know there are other posts but just hasnt been enough info.

I dont have the live, i've got the older WD HD TV so i hope my comments are not useless but I will give my experience anyway.

1) Played all 3 of the Pirates Of The Caribbean 1080p rips (11.7GB - 13.1GB) and they all played flawlessly with no hiccups.

2) Wouldn't know

3) Gets hot but no overheating.

4) Not really, they are close but no difficulties.

5) Bought from take2.

I've heard that DTS over hdmi is a problem but I would be connecting HDMI for video and opticle for audio, would I experiance any audio problems ?

I have the optical going from the player to the home theatre DVD receiver and i've had no problems with DTS encoded audio.
