The nationwide municipal strike enters its fourth day on Thursday, and health clinics around Cape Town will have to be on high alert once again.

On Wednesday, for the second day running, striking municipal workers stormed clinics and threatened patients and staff.

But city officials say they cannot simply close down clinics indefinitely and wait for the strike to end, because they have to provide health services to Cape Town residents.

Striking workers are expected to gather at the Good Hope Centre at 10am on Thursday.

Honestly, these animals are infringing on other peoples rights. Why can they not protest in an orderly fashion? This behaviour detracts from their reasons for being their and eventually the public tires of their cause.

I participated in a march against crime a few years ago. A good 4000 marched in absolute silence for over an hour! No noise, no disturbing other citizens, no destruction of property.

But as Samwu conveniently points out these are the trashy lower class.

+1000 Closing clinics means endangering lives. And 9 times out of 10 the people most likely to be inconvenienced/endangered by these actions are their own people. Makes no sense.
