I read it in the printed Star the other day - to be fair it is not going to get the same kind of headlines as for instance the shootings of the other week because it is less newsworthy than the deaths of four people.

I did not mean to imply that it should be compared to the headlines of the skielik shootings. But compare the headlines this article is making where 400 people stoned one house to that of the article about racism at Investec.

In the Investec situation even the President stepped in and stopped all future trips to other countries to write something on his ANC today blog.

There are a lot more articles where the case was a lot less severe than this one and made news headlines in every newspaper.

The irony of it all it is not the deaths that is newsworthy but rather the white racist gunman. I doubt this being much of a issue if the gunman was black and/or the victims was white. It would be kept under wraps, for sure.

Any death of 4 people by 1 murderer would likely make headlines. The press are here to push their own business agenda as we seen in the case of the Satanism article.
