We have a client that has offices in Durban. We need a reliable IT Support Services company that can go onsite to resolve technical issues: hardware and/or software related.

PM me urgently, thank you.

Why dont they just set up an in house IT department employ one or two geeks, get bussiness accounts with local IT distributors to buy hardware/software. simple as that instead of getting ripped of by IT services companies

Not all of us are in it to rip people off
He asked for a reliable company in durban to help out. Yes, if it's going to be for ongoing support then, ok, employee someone in house. If it is for a once off issue then rather get a reputable company to assist.

A 20 seat client pays around R10k for an uncapped SLA(that's free telephonic, remote and field support with no charge per call out). For their 10k they get 3 first line techs in a call centre and a tech on site within 4 hours. Thats not a rip off. Especially considering the first line engineers are earning between 8-15k each.

Where you get ripped off is paying by the hour, if your exchange dies and you need instant support you will pay between 750 and 1.2k per tech per hour. Never dail up nerd to be on site (excuse the pun)

I run my own IT support business and we are not all here to rip people off. Being in the game for over 14 years, honesty, fair and diligent service pays off in the long run. It's called on-going support from that customer and referrals.

As for in-house techie's it all depends on the work load....cost to company vs. a few once off payment.

The customer has to make the call.
