Johannesburg - A top official of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) has warned that the African National Congress will not hesitate to "kill" the Scorpions if they continued to pursue ANC president Jacob Zuma, the Sowetan newspaper reported on Monday.

The news report quoted Cosatu's KwaZulu-Natal secretary general Zet Luzipho as saying: "If the Scorpions bite the wrong people we will kill them. Like a dog when it starts biting relatives at your home. You get rid of it. We will do the same to the Scorpions."

Luzipho's statements followed the protests held throughout Durban on Friday when members of the ANC's eThwkweni region staged protests at 16 police stations throughout Durban to demand that criminal charges against Zuma be dropped.

Zuma faces a charge of racketeering, four charges of corruption, a charge of money laundering and 12 charges of fraud related to a multi-billion rand arms government arms deal.

Zuma was charged in 2005 but that case was struck from the role in 2006. He was re-charged in December 2007.

The two Thint companies - Thint Holding (Southern Africa) Pty Ltd and Thint (Pty) Ltd - are the South African subsidiaries of the French arms manufacturing giant Thales International (formerly Thomson-CFS). Each company faces a charge of racketeering and two counts of corruption.

Seriously? I mean how can people think its okay to protest AND TELL people to drop charges? I dont know how some peoples heads/minds work... But sometimes I wonder if they do...

I hope they give the Scorpions a reason to shoot them. It'll be like chucking chlorine in the gene pool.
 
I remember reading an article on fri, cant remember which minister it was but he was saying that if the scorpions get dissolved then we should stop paying taxes...
 
If I were top brass at the ANC, I'd be outraged at the comments my "allies" make on my behalf.

Then again, it might be useful since you can deny/blameshift/ignore it when things go sour, and take credit if it doesn't.
 
It's looking increasingly likely that these buffoons themselves will have to be killed.
 
They need to increase their vocab. It would appear "kill" is the only word they know (and perhaps the only thing they know how to do). Welcome to Africa, try not to f**k it up!
 
I had a good laugh last night. They had one of those human rights ads on TV.

Human Right #250582 - Everyone has the right to a fair trial. HAHA! Or just tell the judicial system to go $%^* itself and walk out the door, perhaps?

See, Jacob? Now go out there and prove your innocence! You have the right to a fair trial. You DO NOT however, have the right to negate your trial and simply declare yourself innocent!

In a sane/normal/conventional scenario of injustice (in a NON-democratic society) we would be seeing a man claiming to be innocent yet denied the chance for a fair trial. Those who support him would want only for him to have a fair trial and prove his innocence but here in good ol' SA, what do we have? A high profile fat-cat claiming innocence yet DEMANDING that he is NOT tried while his supporters threaten to kill anyone who stands in his way.

It makes me want to lose it! Anyone who stands in the way of JUSTICE in this Zuma fiasco must be shot to set an example. Harsh, yes but this is pathetic! If your man is innocent, we'll see. If not, then @#$& off!
 
The NPA is as clean as you get, but no... Zuma and the ANC doesn't do clean (apart from AIDS and the shower though :D).

One can see that the ANC is no being run by a mob of gangsters. If you think the last 14 years were bad the next 14 will be much worse.

Agree. If they can only get rid of that rotten mentality, SA would be a better place.
 
We bitch about injustices committed in local government, and how the rest of the world is so superior to our parliamentary delegates, what about Bush? That man practically mass murdered a population, democracy? pffft.. democracy does not exist.

This..."system" in charge we have now, albeit smeared with greed, is a hell of a huge step-up from the last pseudo Nazi infected cesspit we had. Im sure even the bunch of subconscious white-supremacist's, and I know there are many here, have to agree with that.
