Has anyone been following news reports about the rains we have been getting since mid December?

I am curious to know if the Weather Service/Bureau has given any indication until when this weather will carry on, in Gauteng specifically?

Unlikely. Given that it is abnormal weather the historic data is pretty useless for prediction. The weather simulations can't go far beyond 7 day forecast & even that is shaky during abnormal weather.
