Again some of us WA users can not get onto the net or access email due to radius server issues. It happened on Friday and again this morning.

Sadly this has been an ongoing problem that I was assured by a team leader would be sorted out (this was a few months ago). Like many things at WA what is said and what actually happens are two different issues.

This problem keeps happening - what has happened this weekend is the worst I have known. I have taken this issue up on numerous occasions with support, team leaders etc and have even been told that the problem is mine and that I need to replace my router etc.

I look forward to the day when WA actually will keep to thier word and sort out problems.

Another problem I have is with support - no team leaders after hours and maxicall rates. We do nothing wrong yet we have to pay premium rates to get to support and then because one poor person has to field all the calls it takes a long time to get support.

Sadly my days of telling people to try WA are over.

Not sure that this is only a WA problem
I have also tried an MWEB SAIX account and that also fails authentication

Sadly, I will have to agree !!!

I have recommended WA to several customers and they keep phoning me to find out why their internet connection is not working !!

Fortunately they are all on prepaid - so let's change them to another ISP that is willing to deliver.

Unless this is a hardware failure i can understand the downtime.

Again - how about failover /backup systems?

Do not support providers of bad service/product.
Try another provider, this is why competition is encouraged, and you must NOT reward bad service by remaining a customer if you have another choice.

Certianly for prepaid totally agree. Part of my problem with being month to month is the hassle of changing all my banking details etc and WA has a poor reputation with people being billed for months after they have cancelled but I am getting to the stage were I think even with the hassle it might be time to change.

WA have promised some new packages so I guess I am waiting to see the outcome of that but as I said in my first post, sadly they say lots and do not always deliver.

Could not agree more. Surely a company of this size should have backup systems in place to prevent this but guess both systems are down as I am pretty sure they do have another server

Hi guys

We are currently experiencing an authentication issue on our radius server.
Our engineers are attending to the problem.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

It is certainly most troubling to hear you have not been provided the support that we strive to provide.

Please message me your client details and I will gladly resolve any outstanding queries you may have

I will also update this thread when issue has been resolved.

Thank you.

Nice buzzword that - "radius server". I didn't know a server had a radius ;)

Thank you.

Thanks for the post.

Client code sent via PM

How can I check the boards when I can not log on when at home? Why is this problem happening time and time again and why do you not have a back up to prevent this from happening?

Thank you and I look forward to hearing your answers.

Hi guys

I would like to inform you that our authentication server seems to be fully operational again.

All clients should be able to connect as per normal now.

We would like to apologize again for the inconvenience caused.

Please pm me if you are still experiencing any authentication issues on your WA account.

Thank you.

Hi Fulton17

In response to your question:

" Why is this problem happening time and time again and why do you not have a back up to prevent this from happening? "

We do have a back up system in place to prevent these types of issues from happening.
However this morning when our first server failed it switched over to the back up server.
A few moments later the second server failed as well and that resulted in the prolonged authentication failure.

Our engineers have since repaired both servers and as mentioned it should be fully operational now.
