Web Africa client zone doesn't work

Seriously Web Africa...

So last night I wanted to upgrade my 5gig WA capped account to a 90gig+90gig capped account. I go onto the website, shiny new client zone, internet access -> upgrade -> select Home capped -> 90gig -> choose product -> upgrade now. Click through the usual 'continue' buttons, and it just keeps taking me in a circle back to where I started?! Either prompting me to sign in every time, or once I clicked "remember me" for my sign-in details it just takes me back to the initial page and ignores my upgrade request?

WTF is the point of of your client zone if it doesn't actually work? Dont launch a new feature if its not 100% ready to work.

I eventually just gave WA the middle finger and logged onto Afrihost client area and signed up for their 100gig account - which is immediate and perfectly intuitive I might add.

Honestly WA, your service and website quality control is appalling. What a joke.

I gave up creating a new support ticket on their website as well. You fill in all the info and it doesn't save or create the ticket on submit. I have mentioned it to their support staff but for the past two weeks at least its still broken.

Its ridiculous!! I tried calling their 086 number too at around the same time, I think 7pm or so, and sat on hold for who knows how long. So long in fact I figured it was because they close their call centre after hours. However, if thats the case, rather than just let your customers sit on hold, instead play a pre-recorded message telling me your call centre working hours then. Don't just keep me on the line with a repeating, "you will be helped as soon as one of our operators becomes available" - or along those lines anyway.

I'd actually like a WA rep to comment here if possible. Do you guys not know that your website is completely broken?

Hi Markface,

I have taken this up with our Dev team who confirmed the upgrade path is working and this could be related to browser issue specifically IE. What browser are you using?

I ran into this issue myself not too long ago; a cache/cookie reset sorted it out.

Was not impressed about their site being vulnerable to cache/cookie poisoning; their development team deserves a public flogging.

Hi Guys,

Our Dev team are investigating this but cannot replicate the issue from our end. Can you guys send me the current browser versions you are using that you experience the problem on.

Also try clearing you cache/cookies via link below and let me know if it resolved the problem or does it still persist.

Ah, ok, now we're in business.

I've upgraded for next month. so clearing cache/cookies via that link works, but surely there's a way of making it less painful? Clearly I'm not the only person who this has affected, and you can be sure that there are more people who will try it out and just not question why it doesn't work and just go elsewhere. You've gotta be losing business.

Thanks for the feedback and we're glad that it is now working. I have asked our team to investigate further and make we get this resolved permanently.
