Web Africa nightmare.

Their service was ok-ish when you could log tickets and get support through email, but since their service fully moved to WhatsApp it went downhill! Had to battle for 7 hours through WhatsApp to get my issue resolved, through multiple transfers between agents that was only when I had enough and wanted to cancel my contract immediately = the agent only then resolved my issue, by the gods I was frustrated! Will avoid them when I move to new premises in future!

"Small matter" of a R999 cancellation fee when you decide to cancel ; they might be the only ISP to have come up with that bright idea (but I may be wrong).

Honestly it's worth it. Pay the fee and get as far away from that company as possible.
It's one thing I don't have to worry about (as I've not needed to deal with them for years), but I wonder how many clients they still have & of those, how many aren't even aware of that exorbitant fee.

I confirmed luckily that my contract was initiated before that clause, think only when you signed up with them after a certain date so I'm lucky in that case, confirmed this with them during my support (which I saved in case they want to charge me this when I eventually do cancel)

You're probably being overcharged by R100-R200 per month compared to their current contracts for the same speed. WebAfrica dropped the prices when they instituted the R999 cancellation fee on their new contracts.

Oh my gahhddddd.,

TL/DR version?
I have been having the same issue with WebAfrica. They say that my service is activated from 27 Aug 2024 and to date the ONT service light is off. Numerous hours pulling my hair out being transferred from 1 department to another!
