Afri is uncapped account from friend to test and FNB is capped.

2MB line and it does this after hours as well. Saturdays and Sunday are fun every second week...

The free Afri account is unshaped, and capped, try again

I've had no issues with WA for the past 2 months, hover between 2-4 stars most of the time. Speedtests always 3.1-3.5mbps on my 4mb uncapped.

The very reason I am leaving web africa.

What a joke, after 4 months of asking why speed issues and the best answer was "our upstream partner cannot replicate the problem.

Telkom have been out and called, guess what no line issues.

Afri Host 2MB uncapped account

Wow I wonder where the actual problem sits?

Hi Westmore,

Could you PM your customer code so I can look into your stats.

The Afrihost test is well over 2mbs so that can't be a 2mbs Uncapped account but more a 4mbs and you can't compare an uncapped account to a capped account. So I will need to see what star rating you on to comment properly on this thread.

Does the star rating only apply to uncapped accounts?

Because I'm on a capped account (Red Africa, 30GB + 100GB) and my daytime performance in the week is noticeably slower than afterhours / weekends. 4Mbps line.

No the star rating does not apply. Which protocols do you notice is slower during the day?

Hi There,
the trail above whilst reflecting the views of one less than happy client, is important for another reason.
We are all bombarded with advertising and marketing messages (just look at the top of this page if you don't know what I mean) and these messages are designed to get us to change or enforce the experience if that is the provider we use.
So if you want to compare products make sure that the comparison is apples for apples.
no point in looking at a 4MB line against a 2MB line with another provider and then saying see the 2MB is not as good as the other provider.

My advice is make sure that you compare apples with apples before jumping around.

Regards

Tim
