Looks great, how many months will it carry over for tho?

so this is the perfect backup account for a telkom 3gb account then.

Anybody else notice how Axxess is kicking the dust in Web Africa's eyes. Axxes has also got a prepaid except at R1 a gig than WA, it's not much but a buck is a buck after all.

Can you buy/activate things on axxess via the web now? Used not to be the case (but I haven't checked in a long while). WA does have a very nice web interface --- I alsp wish that they would drop their /gig prices a bit --- hope they are paying attention to axxess (competition is always good!).

Axxes is way cooler than WA for 1 gig top up, go to any engen and buy the acc like you would buy airtime. Sexy.

Yep axxess available at any engen, the staff might not know it but it is there, just ask the manager. They sell you a tillslip with login details, much like a vodacom/mtn voucher number.

And yep its sexy, I dont need to have a waiting period to activate my acc I have it as soon as I hand over the money.

What waiting period you speaking of, in my experience with webafrica everything is instant.

Web Africa is instant. Axxess is instant. Both have great web interfaces. On some things Web AFrica is cheaper than Axxess, on other things, Axxess is cheaper. That's competition.

I can't compare the two, but have been extremely happy with WebAfrica's after-sales service and technical support.

Personally I also prefer buying by credit card online than trying to figure out where my nearest engen is late at night and trying to explain to someone there that I want internet access with my pie and condoms.

I will never go back to Axxess. I had an account with them. Started getting strange usage on my acount (It was on their account and not the SAIX bandwidth monitor). I tried to call, no answer. Sent emails, was just ignored. Sent proof of this double dealing, heard nothing back. Even had to send my cancellation a couple of times.

To make matters worse, they billed their 1GB as 1000MB where everyone else (including SAIX who they were buying from) was using 1GB = 1024MB.

They are absolutely the worst company in terms of service you will get. I have never had a problem with WA. I am happy to pay more to WA for their service.

Axxess do instant online credit card based purchases as well (although I prefer not quite as instant EFT, because I don't like people storing my credit card number - but that goes for WebAfrica or any other ISP too).

I think there's been so much publicity about the vouchers, that it's making it look like that's the only way to buy.

Doesnt Axxess prepaid only carry over for 6 months?
I still got 84megs left on my WA account I brought 11months ago :p

They have two prepaid products, which are the same price but have different expiry lengths. 'Now' prepaid is 6 months, and 'prepaid' prepaid is 12 months.

With WA, I used to request the prepaid 1GB and I was able to use the data immediately. I would then do a trf afterwards. Now I just have a Debit Order and they take off the payment at the end of the month.
