At one stage my star rating went down to 2.I was then told that i should schedule my downloads for 12 - 6am so that my rating wouldnt be affected.
Is this no longer the case, because i now download between those times and my star rating still drops?
WTF??

Web Africa / Internet Solutions refuse to explain how the star system works.

That said, if you schedule your downloads for between midnight and 6am you should start returning to a 5-star rating within a week or so.

PM one of the Web Africa forum reps e.g. WAJustinW (I think he's still around) for assistance.

IS system is taking into consideration every use of the net between 6-24 . So if you want to have a high star rating don't use the net during those times.

To be fair on Web Africa for the past 3 months I've spent most of my time on 2 stars, and things have been fine - despite me capping my downloads to 25kb/sec until the 12-6AM slot - I still do a lot of Netflix streaming, I have hovered down to 1 star quite a bit and sometimes I am on 3 stars but my average is 2.

That said I am giving TI a try next month, WA's prices are too high.

Have been using Web Africa for a bit under a year now, considering moving to different ISP. Their throttling is getting a bit much for my liking.

Been with WA for about 2-3 years now. Lately been having lots of connectivity issues, my 1mb Mweb accounts is faster than my WA 4mb account. If the rats jump ship, consider jumping with!

If possible - elaborate on their throttling please for my own interest. Thanks bud.
