Can somebody please recommend a web design course that I could perhaps take part-time. I have been doing a website for our organization for a while now (2 years) using NetObjects Fusion and I have been quite successful (if I may say so myself)

However if I wish to attain some professionalism or mastery what would be the way to go about it? Some have said that the course wont teach you much but that piece of paper can go a long way in earning a few customers.

Try looking at a course where you can learn ASP and PHP. That will pretty much put you in the next notch of some real programming and web design.

There are a few online web design courses aswell, with a bit of googling you may even find free ones, with tests and good resources. NetObjects Fusion is basically WYSIWYG web design, you might want to up your game a bit by trying something like Macromedia (Now Adobe) Dreamweaver. Good luck abuusamah, you have got more willpower than I have, I tried webdesigning with WYSIWYG applications, but I just don't have the energy to complete a site :)

Agreed, it will be a lot cheaper and you will remember the things better if you teach yourself. Classes are sometimes vague and not the best way to learn, except it is a bit of an up side have a certificate to show for it. You might be able to just do some test to get the same certificate though, because you're going learn it all anyway. ;)

Eish...webdesign..these courses change at the speed of light.

Learn by yourself, get a few sites up, and use as CV.
