Hi there

What are the main things which need to be done after developing a website?

I know about developing a sitemap, as well as submitting your site to Google, etc. and then obviously the hosting. Is there anything that I'm missing?

Just for a basic site, eg, home, about us, services, contact us form

What's your site about and who's your target audience?

My site is just a company website, providing details on services offered, screenshots, and a contact form. Target Audience would be any business. (it is a database design company)

ppc search marketing. presuming you've done the rest of the seo.
and reciprocal linking with partner sites. a press release or two with itweb or somebody like that wouldn't hurt.

Add Google Analytics to your site in order to track visitor trends.

1. Don't expect thousands of visitors.
2. Submit your site to other search engines and directories as well.
3. Signup with Google Webmasters to monitor your site.
4. Add Google Analytics.
