Web Developer
We're looking for a web developer to join our team.
We're looking for someone who has a theoretical knowledge about the main front-web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and has first hand experience in building a website or a web application. A lot of our development is Javascript intensive so the more knowledge in this language the better. The candidate would need to be able to work independently and unsupervised. We need someone that has some relevant experience, appropriate knowledge, is enthusiastic to learn new technologies, is not afraid to ask for assistance and handles change as a healthy challenge.
About OUTsrc
We are a small team of developers that do phone and web application development. We focus on certain languages and tools but we are not afraid to use different approaches if these will give better results.
Your Role
Initially:
* Be willing to learn and code in unfamiliar frameworks and technologies
* Develope designs into custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript
* Optimise CSS and JS solutions for better performance
* Use Test Driven Development methodology
* Use source control (Git) and do code reviews
* Overtime might be needed and will be compensated for
Growth Path:
We would like to provide the environment that will help you grow from being slightly exposed to web development to a fully competent full stack developer.
Initially you would be very active in frontend development, HTML, CSS (and preprocessors) and Javascript.
Progression would be to include backend development and completion as a full-stack developer.
This would include you getting plenty of exposure to the following: HTML (and templating); CSS (and preprocessors); Javascript; AngularJS; PhoneGap; Node.js; Express; API design, development and implementation; high availability and scaling design, development and implementation; Database design; Relational and NoSQL Databases; Source Control and, Test Driven Development.
Minimun Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Matric
* Higher Grade Maths
* Experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Preferred:
* Experience in Node.js, AngularJS, PhoneGap, Test Driven Development
* Relevant diploma or tertiary qualification
